건축이 기능을 제안하고 그에 따라 움직이는 것이라면, 역설적으로 어떠한 프로그램도 제안하지 않은 공간은 무엇이든 담아낼 수 있는 무한한 가능성의 그릇이 된다. 이것은 단순한 공터가 아닌, 의도된 '빈 공간'이 도심 속에서 어떻게 작동하는지에 대한 질문이자, 사용자에게 공간의 정의에 대한 선택권을 이양하는 건축적 실험이다.
우리는 공간을 특정 프로그램이나 이벤트로 한정 짓지 않는다. 대신, 예측 불가능한 상황들에 유연하게 대응하며 확장해 나가는 공간 그 자체의 잠재력에 주목한다. 아무런 기능을 의도하지 않은 '무(無)'의 공간. 우리는 그 속에서 발생하는 비정형의 행위들과 이에 반응하는 가변적 건축 요소들을 데이터화하고, 이를 학습하여 다가올 미래의 건축 형태를 모색한다.
"Does a space designed for a specific function become useless when it ceases to function?"
If architecture is about proposing functions, then paradoxically, a space with no proposed program holds the potential to become anything. This is not merely a vacant lot, but an intentional 'void' operating within the city—an architectural experiment that hands over the definition of the space to its users.
We do not define the space by specific programs or events. Instead, we focus on the potential of the space itself to respond flexibly to unpredictable situations. A space of 'Mu (Nothingness)' intended for no specific function. Within it, we capture the data of undefined architectural functions and the variable elements responding to them, deriving the 'architectural form of the future' through this process.
