"만약 우리가 사는 세상의 특정 시점에서 업데이트가 멈춰버린, 다른 시간선이 존재한다면?"
'BZR'의 세계관은 이러한 상상에서 출발합니다. 주기적으로 업데이트되는 현실과 달리, 특정 분기점에서 멈춰버린 "오류 난 구버전의 세계". 이곳의 시간의 방향은 모호하며, 모든 것이 기억의 파편처럼 불완전하게 존재합니다. 현실과 닮았지만 어딘가 비현실적이고 이질적인 공간, 논리적으로 연결되지 않는 사건들을 통해 멈춰버린 세계의 공허함과 기묘한 아름다움을 표현하고자 했습니다.
촬영 및 기술적 접근 (Technical Approach by tst studio)
"현실과 초현실의 시각적 경계"를 표현하는 것은 본 프로젝트의 핵심 과제였습니다. 저희 tst studio는 세계관의 이질감을 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 카메라 워크에 대한 깊은 논의를 거쳐 전략적인 촬영을 설계했습니다.
초반부의 안정적인 고정 샷과 팬(Pan)은 관객이 인지하는 정적인 현실을, 주인공이 세계관에 빠져들수록 등장하는 핸드헬드와 짐벌을 활용한 동적인 트래킹 샷은 혼란스럽고 유동적인 기억 속 세계를 표현합니다. 특히 성격이 다른 샷들 사이에 의도적으로 이질적인 컷(익스트림 클로즈업 등)을 브릿지처럼 배치하여, 장소와 장소를 넘어가는 비논리적인 이동과 주인공의 심리적 혼란을 관객이 함께 체험하도록 유도했습니다.
"What if there is another timeline where updates stopped at a specific point in our world?"
The worldview of 'BZR' starts from this imagination. Unlike reality, which is updated periodically, this is an "error-ridden old version world" frozen at a specific divergence point. Time direction is ambiguous here, and everything exists incompletely like fragments of memory. We aimed to express the emptiness and strange beauty of a stopped world through realistic yet surreal spaces and logically unconnected events.
Cinematography & Technical Approach by tst studio
Expressing the "visual boundary between reality and surrealism" was the core challenge of this project. tst studio designed strategic cinematography to effectively convey the heterogeneity of the worldview. Stable fixed shots and pans in the beginning represent the static reality. As the protagonist falls into the world, dynamic tracking shots using handhelds and gimbals express the chaotic and fluid world of memories. We intentionally placed heterogeneous cuts as bridges between shots to induce the audience to experience the illogical transitions and psychological confusion.
